Section Quarterfinals Tennis

Yesterday, May 19th, the Varsity boys tennis team had their first section match of the year. The team is the number 1 seed, and the heavy favorite to make it out of the conference, and to state. The team beat the 8th seed, Burnsville, yesterday by a score of 6-1.

Eastview Boys Tennis Victory over Eagan

On May 5th, the Eastview Lightning Varsity tennis team defeated the Eagan Wildcats by a score of 4-3. Key victories were at #4 singles, with win by Sophomore Tommy Vang 6-4, 6-3, and the #3 doubles team of Dan Spika and Matt Haugdahl with a three set victory. The victory put the Lightning in the top spot in the conference, and one of the top ten teams in the state of Minnesota. It was the first time the Lightning beat the Wildcats in over 8 years. The star tribune and local papers were at the events to see the result. The lightning's next match is on Saturday vs Apple Valley, Cretin, and Hastings.
